Charisma cardz-' Love ' challenge

This is my first visit to 'Charisma Cardz' so thought I'd join in with the challenge although I'm cheating because this is a card that I made for my Mother & Father-in-laws wedding anniversary last year.
This is an A6 card made with peel-offs and stencils which I coloured in using gel pens (of all things) and added a couple of brads I also used a piece of 'With Love' adhesive ribbon to trim the edge of the card.

Monday Challenge # 7

For this card I've used a pearlescent pink card. I decided to use the winter elves reflection stamp coloured using pink & lilacs pencils as my pollycraft design! The snowflake backing paper is from scrapbooking mad which keeps in with the winter theme of the winter elves. I have then used lilac ribbon to frame the backing paper and to each corner I have used a floral embellishments. I have made this a birthday card as I can never find nice cards for anyone who has their birthday in the winter that keeps in with the seaon. (may sound daft lol) to finish the card off I have added one of my favourite vellum butterflies as I love butterflies. Which will probably become apparent the more cards I made over spring/summer. Hope you like it.

Wedding Invites

Well folks the wedding invitations that I mentioned a good while ago have now been made. Although they are blessing invites instead of wedding ones as the 'groom' is very ill and undergoing chemo and radiotherapy. Due to this he and Shona (my friend) decided that they would just have a small commitment blessing instead of a proper wedding ceremony at this point in time. The design for the invites is very simple but is exactly what Shona asked for and she is really pleased with them which makes me sooo happy. So here we go. I have to admit they look alot better when you see them compared to in the pictures i've taken.

Pollycraft Monday Challenge # 4

This is my design for the Monday Challenge # 4.

For this I thought I'd use the Snowperson stamp that I won on challenge #2.

The background I used a holly leaf design backing paper, with red ribbon. I cut the longer rectangle from striped green and red backing paper then the other with plain green paper on to this I stuck my snowperson. I added 3 star/snowflake embellishments to the side for the sentiment I used a merry christmas embellishment in the shape of a scarf.

Kate's Great Ormond Street Hospital Card Appeal

This is my latest creation but its for such a worthy cause! Take a look http://kate-lewis.blogspot.com/2008/11/great-ormond-street-hospital-card.html

Once I read this post on Kate's blog I had to contribute to it! Just the idea of putting a smile on the face of a poorly child at Christmas Time meant I couldn't ignore Kate's plee! Well done Kate on this amazing appeal. I hope that enough people contribute to the appeal to put smile's on as many sick childrens faces as possible this christmas.

Another pollycraft design card

Well folks this is a card I made quite a while ago for my Mum to give to my Niece! I was looking at the cards I've scanned into the pc and found it so decided to post it on here. It was probably one of the first pollycraft designs I used!

Stripes - Monday Challenge

I thought I'd take part in Pollycrafts Monday Challenge. I decided to use the Paws 'From Our Family to Yours' design. Of course the Stripes design is included I used a stripe effect backing paper along with the stripe design strip that comes with this particular Paws design. To this I then framed the pictyre with red ribbon and added green stars to the corners and a couple of gold stars aswell. From here I added some glitter to the holly berries and to the pom pom on the hat then added a few peel off snow flakes which I coloured to match the design.

I hope you like my design.

Craft Exhibition Glasgow SECC

Well folks Tracey and I got back last night from a Craft Exhibition at Glasgow's SECC it was great! There were plenty of exhibitors demonstrating their products and ideas! They are having another event in March just click on the link below for details.
http://www.ichf.co.uk/hobbycrafts/index.php#dates

Of course Tracey and I had to buy some. So watch this space and Traceys
http://craftsncapers.blogspot.com/ for our creations using our new purchases.

One of the stalls were called Glitter Magic and from the title u can imagine they sell glitter. This glitter is very fine, is anti-static and can be machine washed on fabric at 30 degrees. Its great this glitter is so fine it wont mix together allowing you to add multiple colours one after the other without waiting for the rest to dry. Gives such a great effect to any crafters work. Unfortunately they dont have a website but if anyone would like their e-mail address give me a shout.

The following link gives u a list of exhibitors who were at this weekends event.
http://www.ichf.co.uk/exhibitors_list.php?show=49

At the event we found one stall selling the cutest of gifts its called Dippity Doo Dahs selling soft toys which have been hand dipped in scented candle wax they are soo cute and have some lovely smells of course we each bought one! take a look at their website
http://www.dippitydoodahs.co.uk/

I'll stop boring you for now but keep watching for samples made using our new toys!

Granddaughter birthday card

This is my latest creation! A card I made for my friend to give to her granddaughter for her 1st birthday. I have to say the photo doesn't do the card much justice! I really like this card design and think its probably the best one I've made yet! Its not made with a Polly craft design but I like it all the same! And thankfully my friend Jackie loved it which is the main thing!
I made it as a 3 fold card as you can see in the photo opposite.
